A different take on "PAIRS"

Most of the images I have for the "PAIRS" theme are with an aperture stopped down a bit, usually to about f8. This one is of my wife at a local coffee shop but with the aperture wide open (f2.0). I think it might work for the theme as it presents a "pair" with a slightly different point of view.

As usual, I am still using the Fuji X100S with the TCL converter attached to give me a 50mm focal length.

Happy times!

After recently posting a photo of my daughter with her oldest daughter and first granddaughter, I went rummaging through my archives for a shot of her and her kids. This one, taken around Christmas 2007, was not one of the best times in her family's lives but you would not know it from this image. I had gotten them to go outside to get a group photo and this one is my favorite. The antics of all the kids and the smile on my daughter's face made me realize that they truly were a FAMILY in the truest sense of the word. The youngest is in the Job Corps training to be a chef. Her middle child is working full time while attending school as best she can to get her degree.
Their lives have not been the easiest but my daughter never gave up. And today can look on her children and see a job well done!

Construction Zone

Another one for the "PAIRS" series. I think this one works well for the effort. I doubt anyone would spend any time looking at construction cones.

I did wait for a passerby to enter the image to add a spot of interest to the shot.

Blocked!

Strikes me as a good one for the "PAIRS" theme especially since it is something most people would even notice! The last couple of times on the Square I have focused on inanimate objects rather than people.
