Coffee and a paper

Something not seen much anymore - sitting down with a paper and a morning cup of joe. Seems like it is only "old school" people like myself that do this anymore.

AL JARREAU

I was surprised to hear of the death of jazz great Al Jarreau on the evening news last night. I was fortunate to see him live at a festival in Seaside, FL, back in 2001 (if my records are correct). His show was the closing performance of the night and he had the place rocking!
I was still shooting film in those days. This was shot with a Nikon F100 and Tokina 2,8/80-200mm lens on Kodak Tri-X film at ISO1600. I pushed the processing with D-76 1:1.

TRIPLETS!

Just going through some old images from when I first started working as a freelancer for a small weekly newspaper in the Florida Panhandle in 1998 or 1999. The title hit me this morning as I was looking at the photo. All of the women are in bikinis with their hair up in a bun. (Yeah, I know, life is tough when you have to find feature photos on a beautiful Florida beach!) Believe this was shot with an Olympus OM-4T, Tokina 2,8/80-200mm ATX Pro lens and Kodak Tri-X at ISO400. At the time, I was using Kodak D-76 1:1 for development.

Pair of (hand) Trucks

Caught these two jaywalking with a delivery. Another maybe for the "Pairs" theme.
