I ran into one of the local newspaper shooters the other day. I remember vividly walking around my old stomping grounds looking for feature art. One body would have an f2.8 wideangle zoom and the other an f2.8 telephoto zoom. A spare battery, a single fast normal lens, and spare cards would be in one pocket of my photo vest. In my car would reside the 2,8/300mm in case something came up or I had a sporting event to go to.

While I do not miss the weight, I do miss the development of relationships with local folks that occurred on a daily basis. There is really nothing like being a small town photojournalist.
As always, make a comment!! Let me know what you think! Until next time, keep on shooting...
