Went out yesterday to support a local restauranteur as he tries to keeps his name and face out in the community. James and MaryBeth Gross, owners of La Trattoria, lost their establishment through no fault of their own and are currently dealing with insurance adjusters as well as establishing a crowd funding effort to make up the difference between what insurance will pay and what it will cost to restart the business.
They have teamed up with a new business, Carrollton Bakery, to keep cooking (using the kitchen at their church) and serving Carrollton residents during lunchtime on the occasional Friday while working to find a new place to start over.
Yesterday's effort was a slam dunk as the place was packed during the lunch hour. People not only got lunch that was provided by James and MaryBeth but also grab a pastry (my wife & I opted for the cinnamon bun with cream cheese topping) for later. With the small pastry shop filled, a number of people also opted to get their orders to go.
The reference to Marilyn? Take a look at the handbag!!

As always, make a comment!! Let me know what you think! Until next time, keep on shooting.....
