Tube at rush hour

Shot this on the London, UK, Tube on our first trip to England in 2003. It was on Kodak Tri-X b&w film pushed two stops with a Nikon F100 and Tokina 24-200mm superzoom. While I missed focus (wanted the guy facing me but hit the arm to the left), I like the way this one turned out.

As always, make a comment!! Let me know what you think! Until next time, keep on shooting.....

  1. I like this one Richard. It's great the way that your eye is drawn to the man's face. Wherever you look in the picture, the eye is drawn straight back to the subject and everything else is irrelevant yet provides context.

    1. It is what I was trying for but thought, with the missed focus, that the image failed a little. The things that help the image from being a complete failure is his face is in the center and is one the lighter spots in the shot.
